Eastern Connecticut Enterprise Corridor (ECEC)
The Eastern Connecticut Enterprise Corridor is comprised of eight towns located in the pristine and affordable northeast corner of the state of Connecticut, the state’s first rural enterprise corridor. The Corridor’s beauty and affordability makes it an ideal location for business. Located on Interstate 395 and the Providence and Worcester rail line, the Corridor offers easy access to major markets such as New York, Boston, Providence and Canada. Rates are extremely competitive, and there is an abundance of industrial land and building space.

The eight towns that comprise the ECEC are: Thompson, Putnam, Killingly, Plainfield, Sterling, Sprague, Lisbon and Griswold.

The ECEC offers outstanding benefits to business with manufacturing incentives similar to those in the state’s 13 urban enterprise zones, including:

Five year, 80% abatement of local property taxes
Ten-year, 25% credit on corporate taxes
Existing mill space offers an exceptional opportunity for even greater savings
