Eastern Connecticut State University
A public four-year university serving eastern Connecticut, Windham-based ECSU is one of four campuses of the Connecticut State University system. It offers numerous Bachelor's degrees and selected Master's degrees. The Office of Professional Development offers various non-credit training courses, including career-track certificate programs.
 
University of Connecticut
UConn is the preeminent public four-year university in Connecticut, with 10 schools and colleges at its main campus in Storrs, separate Schools of Law and Social Work in Hartford, five regional campuses throughout the state, and Schools of Medicine and Dental Medicine at the UConn Health Center in Farmington. Its accreditation allows the University to offer Bachelor's, Master's, and Ph.D. degrees.
 
UConn encourages new business start-ups through the UConn Foundation’s for-profit subsidiary, The University of Connecticut Research & Development Corporation, which was formed in 1984. The Corporation evaluates innovative technologies developed by faculty and staff at all UConn campuses, evaluates markets for potential technologies, creates business plans, solicits early stage venture capital, and recruits business management for the start-up companies.
 
Quinebaug Valley Community College
A public two-year college serving northeastern Connecticut with campuses in Willimantic and Danielson, QVCC offers several comprehensive degrees and certificate programs and provides a wide range of other services. The Center for Community & Professional Learning offers non-credit job-focused training, customized business training, and other community education courses.
 
EASTCONN
One of six Regional Educational Service Centers (RESCs) in the state, EASTCONN offers a broad scope of programs and services to communities, families and adult learners across northeastern Connecticut. EASTCONN’s Adult Services include: 1) Employment and Training programs, 2) Adult Education programs, 3) Community Education programs, 4) and other assistance for parents and families.

Eastern CT Workforce Investment Board
The Eastern Connecticut Workforce Investment Board (EWIB) is a federally mandated non-profit agency governed by a 35-member Board of Directors that evaluates the regional workforce investment system. The EWIB oversees a network of workforce training programs and agencies to meet the needs of local employers and job seekers in eastern Connecticut. The network includes four CTWorks One-Stop Career Centers in Danielson, New London, Norwich, and Willimantic.
