The Northeast Alliance has been serving the needs of small business since 1990, when we formally incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit economic development corporation. Initial grant funding was achieved through a team effort of the leaders 21 towns in northeastern Connecticut. That effort of bringing together diverse resources for a common solution characterized what the Northeast Alliance continues to do to this day. Eastern Connecticut State University and Quinebaug Valley Community College have also generously supported the Northeast Alliance through in-kind provisions of office, seminar space, and some equipment.
